"Era el año de 1912, época en que los hombres sabían morir por un ideal o por el amor de una mujer..." - title screens. The Mexican Revolution has ended, and two men who fought on opposite sides have come home. But their rivalry has endured--both are in love with the beautiful, independent woman known as "La Bandida," who owns the local brothel. As a means of determining which will win the fair lady, the two engage in cockfights, a game of Russian roulette, drinking contests, and brawls aplenty. Eventually, La Bandida makes her choice, but that does not mean that they live happily ever after
